ASK MUM
How are Mum's foods different from store bought?
Mum's Kitchen hand picks all its produce and foods for freshness and quality. We prepare your baby's food based on your need and time production so produce is at its peak of freshness – your baby is getting the best quality.
How does Mum's Kitchen support local communities?
In season we buy all our produce from Ontario farms. A benefit not only to our local farm industries but also to you, the consumer - track your food from the ground to your table without leaving the comfort of your community!
Mum's Kitchen helps your community directly by reusing our jars. All our jars are reused and picked up at the time of your next delivery. This reduces your curbside waste and you know exactly how your efforts are making a difference!
Your jars are reused?
Instead of tossing jars for roadside pickup, simply collect them, lightly rinse or wash them and return them to your Customer Care Representative at the time of your next delivery. All our jars undergo a strict wash and sanitization process before reentering circulation.
How do I get started with Mum's Kitchen?
When you're baby is ready for "solid" foods give us a call. Our qualified customer care representative will go over some brief questions to set up your account, place your initial order and answer any specific questions or concerns you may have. Set up can take anywhere from 5 to 25 minutes. We encourage you to take your time; we want you to feel comfortable making this exciting step with your baby!
What do I need to know before I call?
Before you call it is important to discuss with your child's physician if he/she is ready for solid foods. You may choose to start with fortified cereals purchased at the grocery store as Mum's Kitchen only offers baby's first fruits and vegetables in our Introductory Package.
I've set up my account and placed my order. Now what?
Your order is processed upon receipt of payment and delivered based on your previously established day and time.
How does your delivery service work?
During your initial set up call you will determine a delivery schedule. Ideally, your deliveries will be made on the same day of the week and time of day. Our customer care representative can suggest days when our trucks are in the area, or if you can determine the day and time based on your schedule. If you need to make a change, please call at least 12-hours in advance whenever possible.
Does someone need to be home at the time of delivery?
Yes. Our frozen fresh foods need to go directly into your freezer to maintain freshness. Our delivery care representative will deliver your order and a copy of your receipt for signature. If your order cannot be delivered you will need to contact us to cancel or reschedule your delivery.
How do I pay?
We accept cash, cheque, Visa & Mastercard
